It feels like the perfect day to share a short status update on our open-source project, Merka.cloud.
Lately, it has been exciting to watch how popular OpenClaw has become. In many ways, its rise validates the direction we’re heading, as it shares several similarities with Merka.cloud. However, the vision for Merka extends far beyond just building a personalized agent.
Our goal is to create a platform with the ability to efficiently host other personal and business software, all while seamlessly allowing your personal agent to operate them on your behalf. We want to bridge the gap between AI autonomy and reliable, day-to-day software management.
Most importantly, Merka has security in its DNA. From the ground up, every single layer—down to the networking—is fully secured with the latest technologies. We believe that if an agent is going to operate your software, it must do so within an uncompromising security model.
That said, I have to be honest: the project is currently moving a bit too slow, and we could really use some help! If you are passionate about the future of secure, personalized agents and want to contribute to an ambitious open-source initiative, we’d love to have you on board.
Not only comprehensive security architecture is weighing on the project progress, but also the complexities of inter-cloud operability and extensibility. Our goal is to allow merka clouds to interconnect, to collectively complete tasks. Meanwhile extensibility brings endless challenges, creating persistent compute architecture across multiple personal or business nodes, with excellent security, while allowing easy addition and management of extension. Ultimately there are even more complex scenarios - have you ever tried to migrate from one ERP software to another, or from one CRM to another?
Still the future is very exciting - by including the power of AI agents at the core of the project, you could concievably just assign such an arduous migration task to your agents and wake up to completed task!
